Can Astrology tell age of my Child?
No. It can't. Rather than the child's age in life, it is more important to focus on life in child's age
Can Astrology tell age of my Child? This is the question that I get from many parents. Parents generally remain apprehensive about their child’s age. But is it possible to know the child’s age from his or horoscope?
The simple answer to this question is- No.
I am appalled to see how Astrologers confidently predict age of child when it is impossible to do so. If the Astrologer predicts early death of child, heavens fall on the family. Moreover, the apprehension of something bad happening to the child never goes away. Even after the Child grows up as an adult. I recall meeting a worried gentleman and his family. An Astrologer had predicted early demise of their only child before sixteenth birthday. The family remained worried and blindly followed whatever expensive remedies offered to them. The son is now nineteen but their anxiety related to his age still lingers in the mind of parents.
What does Maharishi Parashar say on the age of the child 👩👧
Maharishi Parasara, author of Brihat Parashara Hora Sastra mentions about death predictions. He says that death should not be predicted before twenty four years of age.
Chaturvinshativarshani yavad gachhanti janmtaha. Janmarishtam tu tavat syadayudarya na chintayet.
(Sloka 2, Chapter-9 Atharishtadhyaya: Brihat Parashar Hora Shastram Vol. 1)
The Arishta yoga i.e. evils which bring premature death, lasts twenty four years in a person's life. So no one's age should be calculated before 24 years.
Parasara describes evils at birth that could lead to balarishta. An entire Chapter-9 in Brihat Parasara Hora Sastra, Vol. 1 is dedicated to describing evils at birth. This is not contradictory to Sloka-2 in the same Chapter mentioned above. By describing evils at Birth, Parasara wanted us to undertake remedies to negate them. Parashara prescribes remedies to these evils at Birth in the next Chapter-10.
Balarishta doesn’t mean death 👩👧
"Balarishta" or evils in early childhood is understood to operate till eight years. Balarishta combinations should not be taken to mean that the child’s age is less than eight years. It only mean that the health of the child may not be good till eight years. The child may not be able to enjoy physical felicity. If there is Balarishta in the horoscope of a child, the health of that child should be the prime focus of the parents.
Life in Child’s age is more important than Child’s age in this life 👩👧
Thus, it is impossible to predict child’s age. Only Balarisht combinations can be known from the horoscope. Thus, Parents should not obsess over child’s age. The ‘life’ is more important than the ‘age’. Parents can only focus on the health of the child and not the age.
Still worried ? Listen to Santan Gopal Mantra 👩👧
Whenever you find worrying too much about the age of your child, its best to listen to the Santan Gopal Mantra. This mantra is not limited only as a mantra to have baby or a child but is for the well-being and welfare of children. The mantra reduces feeling of insecurity towards children.
