The World continues to fight the COVID-19 pandemic. After 23rd September 2020, when there was a shift of the Rahu-Ketu axis from Gemini- Sagittarius to Taurus-Scorpio, the cases started coming down. This was on expected lines as discussed already in the article titled- When will Coronavirus end?- An Astrological Analysis published in April-2020.
However, as winters set in, let us not lower our guards. In India’s horoscope, the Rahu-Ketu axis is on the Lagna and 7th house, which affects the health of the citizens.
In the article on COVID-19, we have already discussed that after 23rd September 2020 for almost the entire 2021, there will be ups and downs in the virus spread. It is unlikely that the virus would go away from the World, yet, the World could dominate it by April-2022. We should therefore remain cautious and abide by all Government regulations from time to time.
In this issue, we discuss the transit of Jupiter into Capricorn. In the Astro-nuggets section, we take up a question about prediction of a child’s age, who has been diagnosed with COVID.
The Highlight of the issue relates to the same question discussed in the Astro-nuggets section, i.e., whether it is possible to predict the age of a child? The answer is - NO.
This month Jupiter changes sign into Capricorn. Considering Pushya-Paksha Ayanamsa calculations, this will happen on November-13, 2020 at 11:16 PM.
Jupiter entering Capricorn would be astrologically significant for all of us. The transit will impact each sign differently, but we would only focus on general influence.
Capricorn is a sign where Jupiter gets debilitated. Jupiter is a sattvic planet akin to a saint full of wisdom, whereas Capricorn is a materialistic sign having rajas and tamas elements. Thus, Capricorn is not a comfortable place for Jupiter to be in.
The things would be significant when Jupiter conjoins Saturn in Capricorn, in December-2020. We will discuss this in the next issue.
In the times of COVID-19, Jupiter’s transit in Capricorn is significant. For India, the Jupiter is the 8th Lord responsible for general tensions and anxiety in the population. In November 2020, it moves to the 9th house, which is the Bhagya Sthana. In Navamsa chakra (D-9 chart) it transits the 8th house from its natal position.
Longevity is one of the important agenda for the 8th lord. When 8th lord enters 9th house, the citizens of India should expect sudden changes in their lives especially in the matters of longevity. Considering the COVID situation, we need to up the ante on HEALTH to minimize negative surprises related to longevity. Fortune would favour us on the health front only when we ourselves make efforts towards it.
One issue that perturbs everyone nowadays is our behavior towards each other. The pandemic situation is making all of us more restless and impatient. We should behave with others in the same way we expect others to behave with us. But it doesn’t happen so often.
When someone doesn’t treat us well, our topmost priority should be to remain calm and peaceful from inside. And that’s where what Dalai Lama says is so relevant-
I received this question in Hindi from a Learned reader. For the benefit of everyone, I am giving a rough translation in English:
I write this email to you with a lot of anxiety in my head. My son (aged 9 years) has turned COVID positive. Although he is absolutely fine but I am worried. Our family is already doing pujas after it was predicted that his horoscope has balrisht. Please assure us that he has a long life. His birth data is……
Let us all be very clear on this. It is not possible to predict death. Even the best of Astrologers can’t. If someone is predicting death, she or he is just doing approximations and guess work. More so, with a child. In “Brihat Parasara Hora Shastra”- the Bible of Astrology, Maharshi Parasara states that the evils causing death remain in person’s life till the age of 24 years. Therefore, one should not make any assessment regarding death of a person less than 24 years of age. (BPHS: Vol.1, Chapter-9, Sloka-2)
We take Balrisht as certain negative combinations in a horoscope that shows Alpayu or short life-span for the child. However, Balrisht shows adverse health combinations in the horoscope. If Balrisht is present in a child’s horoscope, the parents should take extra precautions for the health of the child.
Can we Predict Child’s Age?
In India, astrologers have been using Balarishta combinations loosely for instilling fear and insecurity in the minds of parents. It is important for all of us to know that one should not unnecessarily get anxious about the age of our children. The short answer to this query is NO. We can’t predict age of a child. I would attempt a detail article on this in the days to come.
