How do I know if my Kundalini got activated?

This is an interesting question. The answer lies in the core concept of Kundalini activation.

To understand the concept of kundalini activation, we need to understand two important things:

The Brahm 🧘🏼

We all are an amsa (part) of this cosmic consciousness which is eternal. Brihadaranyak Upanishad (1.4.6) enlightens us about Aham Brahmasi and Tat Twam Asi. These two profound vedic teachings convey that we are part of the primordial Brahm. Concept of Brahm can be equated to the concept of Tao.

Concept of Deh-Atma-Buddhi 🧘🏼

The belief of Deh-Atma-Buddhi which in crude terms means ‘I am the body’ is a misconception. We are neither our body nor our mind. WE ARE. Period. We are not this or We are not that. WE just ARE. When we start seeing our body and mind as different, we assume our original state of a pure soul.

What is Kundalini Activation🧘🏼

Hinduism believes that there is a life force having capability to detach us from our body and mind. The Muladhaar Chakra situated at the base of the spine contains that life force. It is in a coiled form like a snake.

The Muladhaar Chakra gets activated through various spiritual processes. Such processes could be pranayam, meditation, or special techniques from a master. This life force rises and passes through various chakras (six in numbers) in the body. When it reaches the head, it gives a powerful spiritual bliss. There is no language available to define the experience. At best, we can term it as a deep meditative state when the soul gets detached from body and mind. This state of “I AM” is like the attainment of Spiritual Salvation. The person becomes all knowledgeable in the glimpse of the supernatural - the Alaukik. Shri Nisargadatta Maharaj in his book “I AM THAT” beautifully explains this concept.

So whether my kundalini got activated ?- The Great Paradox 🧘🏼

The stage of Kundalini activation is a great paradox in the world of Spirituality. If we have truly reached the stage of Kundalini Activation, we will never know of it on the level of conscious mind. But still we will be knowing that eternal bliss at the level of soul. The state of Kundalini activation is beyond any kind of conscious perception. This is because this stage implies death of the mind. Thus, this question about kundalini activation loose its relevance. In the pure state of ‘I AM’, nothing else matters. An active conscious mind in pursuit of kundalini activation has not yet 'arrived'. When it will arrive, it will not know. The stage of kundalini activation is pure bliss uncovered after the death of mind.

Can Astrology show the path for Kundalini Activation? 🧘🏼

Astrology has a deep connection with Spirituality. In fact, Astro-Spirituality is not a separate field, it is Astrology itself. We discussed the intricate connection between Astrology and Spirituality in an earlier article.

Our conscious mind will never know when our kundalini got activated. But we will not be able to start the journey without our conscious mind. For starting the journey, Astrology suggests the following:

1. Propitiating the planets in Moksha Trikona (4th, 8th & 12th houses)

2. Propitiating 12th lord from Navamsa Lagna

3. Meditating on chants related to Atma Karaka in Lagna

4. Worshipping Ketu (if present in any moksha trikona in Navamsa or Vimsamsa)

The first step is all what we can take. As the conscious mind starts dying, the divine guidance takes over and we live in bliss ever after.

Conclusion 🧘🏼

When kundalini awakens, all questions about how, when, where etc becomes irrelevant. When the Kundalini Awakens, we will never know. This is because in that pure state of bliss there is no consciousness left after the death of the mind. Never the less, we can begin our journey through the path shown by Astrology. As we progress, let the divine guidance take over and guide us in our spiritual path.

Ketu is the planet for moksha. We have discussed about kundalini awakening. It will be auspicious to spare a minute and listen to the Ketu Grah Mantra -
